This biz journey of mine?

It started when I stopped – and finally said, *‘No’…*
Working as an exhausted people-pleasing 9-5er. Doing *all* the things. Enjoying very little. Juggling growing babes, a loss of identity (hello mama-hood) + saying ‘Yes’ when I really meant ‘No’.
Forever dreaming of a better way.
So, I woke up + spoke up. I simply said - No. No to burnout. No to hustle culture + leaving the lights on 24/7. No to unethical bullshit. And the biggest f*ck NO to a one-size-fits-all approach. As a woman. As a human. I refused to accept there couldn’t be joy in the journey. Why can’t we acknowledge that success looks different to everyone? That there’s more than one way to do business. How trusting our intuition + the words we speak, + write, play a huge part in doing business (and life) better.
Some biz rules are made to be broken.
I grabbed my 20+ year profesh background in corporate, comms / PR, marketing / events, business planning + government + mooshed it all up to create what I have today.

And – also doing what is right, when it’s right for my business. Zero unethical tactics. Zilch “you’ve gotta do it *this* way” generic advice (unless you legit have to – ‘cos the H1 on your website About page cannot be 99 characters).

What doesn't light me up as a copywriter and website content writer — What doesn’t?
Doing shit the same old way, ‘cos it’s *always* been done that way. And people who say you can’t start a sentence with ‘And’, ‘But’, ‘Because’ or ‘Fu*k THAT’. Because a bloody good SEO website copy + content writer spends forever immersing herself in the power of words. Researching, writing + up-skilling. Learning all the rules. But, perhaps most importantly - knowing when to break ‘em for impact.
