You’re making the first move. Go you good thing.
Fill out my project enquiry form or flick me an email to hello@articulatecommunications.nz DMs, PMs, txt messages, courier pigeon, notes on my car – they’re all acceptable forms of communication BUT I keep a better eye on my email. So, if you want a more considered response – please email me with as much info about your project, as possible – including timeframes.

Let’s chat
Grab 15-minutes with me over the phone (or, for the good humans of Hawke’s Bay I’ll let you know if we can meet face-to-face.) During the call you’ll tell me about your project, what you want to achieve by working together, + the support you need from me. I’ll talk you through my approach, availability + let you know how I think I can support you. It’s kinda like speed-dating for business – we’ll both figure out pretty quickly if we’re the right fit.
Rest assured there’s zero sleazy sales tactics here.
No pressure. No manipulation. We either want to work together, or we don’t. I’m cool with that.
The nitty gritty
It’s time to dot the I’s and cross the T’s.
Once we’ve outlined and agreed upon the scope of your project, I’ll flick you through a proposal and my Terms + Conditions. You’ll have 10 days to consider the info and T+Cs – I’m always happy to answer any questions before you come back to me with a “let’s do this.” I’ll then ask you to pay a 50% deposit to commit + secure your project start date in my schedule.
It’s homework time
This is where the good stuff begins. You’ve got (virtual) mail! Depending on your project I’ll email you either the SEO Website Copywriting or Copy + Content Writing Initial Questionnaire. I’ve got a curious mind – so get prepared to answer lots of questions. It’s my role as a copywriter to articulate the thoughts inside your head + not make shit up (I’m here for authenticity + discovering your point of difference).
Once you’ve flicked back your answers…
I’ll mark them (jokes, there are no wrong answers here). I’ll review your answers + then we’ll set up a phone / Zoom strategy session to go over any missing info / clarify answers / talk website strategy / chat next steps.
I research + write
Welcome to the space inside my head. Here’s what happens…
Research, research, research. So much research. Industry, your people, voice of customer, brand voice + tone, keyword – did I say research? It’s why “can you whip up just a few words” is my least favourite request. Writing that represents you + your brand, authentically, takes a whole lotta research + strategy before writing even begins.
It’s beautifully messy. Organised chaos.
My phone is full of notes taken at 7am, + sometimes 2am. Pages in notebooks filled with ideas + magic snippets you’ve mentioned once or twice.
And, finally? The writing begins. I write, type, delete – check notes, type again, edit, delete again, write, type, type some more – edit then proof.
Is it ‘their’, ‘there’ or ‘they’re’ ? This is the best work I’ve ever written. I can’t wait to hear the feedback. Oh gawd, what if they hate it (heyyyy old mate imposter). Get a grip, Pip – you know how to write. SEND.

Those words that end up in your inbox? The words you love, so much. The words where you think, “it’s like she could hear the thoughts inside my head” – they’re your zone of genius blended, brilliantly, with mine.
Each SEO Website Copywriting and Content project includes 2 rounds of reasonable revisions (unless otherwise stated in your scope). So now is your chance to carefully read over the copy, makes notes or scribble down any changes. To keep your project on track I allow 7 days for you to provide your feedback.
Once your copy is good to go…
I’ll send you through your final invoice. Payment terms are 7 days. As soon as your payment has cleared, I’ll flick through your final version (via Google Doc).
For SEO Website Copywriting projects, I’ll also flick the final doc through to your website designer, with notes. And I’m available to review your website before it goes live to check the words and SEO are A-OK.
